Darren Bravo came out to bat after Shai Hope’s dismissal and he alongside opening batsman Brandon King looked decent out in middle and in the powerplay overs they added 31 runs off 52 balls.

However, they were unable to survive the 12th over, which was bowled by spin bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar. Sundar dismissed Brandon King for 13 in the second ball and Bravo for 18 in the last ball of the over.

Washington Sundar bowled a short length delivery just outside off and Bravo played for the turn, but the ball didn’t turn and he got beaten on the inside edge and the ball struck on his pads. Washington Sundar and the entire Indian team appealed but the on-field umpire denied.

Sundar convinced skipper Rohit Sharma to opt for a review and the replays showed that there was no bat involved and the DRS and the Hawkeye showed three reds and Bravo had to walk back to the pavilion.

Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Ishan Kishan is set to open the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan.

Deepak Hooda made his One Day International debut and he received his debut cap from Virat Kohli. India’s pace battery consisted of Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna. Also, Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal were the two spinners. Some notable inclusion in the Kieron Pollard-led side were Kemar Roach and Fabian Allen.
