Pakistan and West Indies will play the second of the three T20Is on 14th December 2021, Tuesday. National Stadium in Karachi will host the match. The Pakistan Cricket Team has been nothing short of outstanding in T20 internationals this year. They exhibited telling performances in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
The Men in Green didn’t lose a single game in the league stage of the tournament. However, unfortunately, they lost to Australia in the semi-final to end their hopes of lifting their second title.

Pakistan recently played a three-match T20 series in Bangladesh. Those weren’t the ideal pitches to bat on but Pakistan bowlers didn’t allow Bangladesh to win a single match. Babar Azam and Co. won the series 3-0. Pakistan would be looking to continue the winning momentum and register a series win against West Indies.
As of the bowling, Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the pace attack alongside Haris Rauf and Shahnawaz Dhani. Shadab Khan will lead the spin department.

West Indies, on the other hand, are coming into the series on the back of a disappointing performances in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They showcased poor performances in the league stage and couldn’t get through the semis. Regular skipper, Kieron Pollard has been ruled out of the T20 series due to a hamstring injury. Jason Holder is rested, while the likes of Andre Russell, Shimron Hetmyer, Ewin Lewis and Lendl Simmons have opted out to personal reasons.
In the absence of Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran has been given the duty to lead the side. The absence of all these players is perhaps a blessing in disguise for West Indies. Ahead of another T20 World Cup scheduled for next year, now is the time for the Windies to test the new players.
The likes of Shai Hope, Brandon King, Darren Bravo, and Nicholas Pooran make a formidable batting pair. Oshane Thomas will lead the pace-bowling unit. West Indies have included three talented all-rounders in the squad. All three namely, Dominic Drakes, Romario Shepherd, and Odean Smith will be the ones to watch out for.
