Pakistan go head to head against West Indies in a three-match ODI series starting with the first ODI on June 8. All the matches will be played in Multan as the Windies side ara back to complete the ODI leg of the tour.

West Indies came to Pakistan in December last year. They were whitewashed in the three-match T20I series. While Pakistan is looking to complete another whitewash, the Windies look determined to turn the tables around.

Pakistan have been bolstered by the return of Shadab Khan who missed the Australia series with a groin injury. Imam can be the other opening batsman along with Fakhar for Pakistan. This will also help the side maintain the left-right opening combination.

Babar opens the batting in T20Is for Pakistan. But in white-ball format, he should be back at his usual number three position. This being a 50-over format, he will get enough time to anchor the innings so that the finishers can do their job in the final overs.

Khushdil Shah

Young Khusdil Shah can bat at number four in the batting order. He has played four ODIs to date and has shown a lot of talent to get his opportunities.

Ahmed can bat at number five for Pakistan. He is another young talented batsman to watch out for in the current Pakistan squad. He can also roll his arm over whenever required.

Mohammad Rizwan (WK)

Rizwan along with Babar Azam are two of the best batters in their cricket at the moment. He is a very flexible cricket and a safe keeper behind the stumps.

The leg-spinning all-rounder can bat at number seven. He has played enough ODI cricket and has all the batting potential to bat higher up the order.

Haris Rauf

Rauf will be one of the pacers in this Pakistan playing XI. He has deceptive pace and has played T20 cricket across the globe and made a reputation for himself.

Hasan Ali

Hasan Ali can be the second pace option in this playing XI. He has been playing across formats for Pakistan for a few years now and is an integral part of the side.

Mohammad Nawaz
