Chasing the challenging total in Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, Warriorz got off to a shaky start, with captain Healy scoring just 12 runs. The innings was steadied by Tahlia McGrath, who scored a 50, and Grace Harris, who scored a blistering 72-off 41. UP-Women won the match with 1 ball to spare.
This result also ensured that Gujarat Giants are out of the tournament. With them having played all of their 8 matches and winning only two, the team captained by Sneh Rana finds itself at the bottom of the WPL 2023 table.

Another team that have been knocked out of the tournament are RCB Women, who currently sit at 4 points off 7 matches, and will now find it impossible to reach the playoffs. They are currently 4th on the table with 1 match in hand and will be aiming to maintain that position.
MI Women take on DC Women to ensure a place in the finals of WPL 2023
MI Women will take on DC Women in tonight’s match to ensure their place in the finals of WPL 2023.
MI have steamrolled the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League. Having won 5-out-of-6 of their matches, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side sit comfortably on top of the table with 10 points. With two matches to go, they only need one more win to secure the top spot in the league table.
In WPL 2023, the league table winners automatically qualify for the final, while 2nd and 3rd-place teams battle it out in a playoff match for the other final’s birth.
The Mumbai franchise will take on DC, who themselves have qualified for the playoffs, and will be looking to make it to the top of the table as well. If they win today’s match, the Delhi side will make it a three-side race for the top spot, as UP Warriorz too will have an outside chance of directly qualifying for the final in that case.
Delhi Capitals will also be looking to even the score with MI Women, as the Indians won the reverse fixture between the two teams. Although all games Mumbai have played in the WPL 2023 are like home games, with the tournament taking place across the stadium in the city.
