MI Women registered a convincing victory over RCB Women. MI Women won the match by 4 wickets & chased down the target of 126 runs in 16.3 overs. MI Women came out all guns blazing as they scored 53 runs in the power-play overs for the loss of 1 wicket. MI Women wicket-keeper batter Yastika Bhatia scored 30 runs in 26 balls where she struck 6 fours. Amelia Kerr played a match-winning knock of 31 runs in 27 balls where she struck 4 fours.

This win would give MI huge confidence after the drubbing they received against DC Women where they lost the match by 10 wickets. MI now have topped the points table where they have 12 points to their name with an NRR (Net run rate) of +1.71. RCB Women tried their best where another 30-odd run could have made the difference in the end.

RCB Women skipper Harmanpreet Kaur had a dreadful end to her WPL 2023 where she once again failed to convert her start as she scored 24 runs in 25 balls where she struck 3 fours & 1 six. RCB Women’s innings never really took off as MI Women bowlers kept on picking wickets at crucial junctions of the match. Amelia Kerr was the wrecker in chief where she took 3 scalps & gave away 22 runs in her 4-over spell.

MI now would be hoping that UP Warriorz defeat DC Women in the evening clash (*scheduled later in the evening) where then MI Women would directly advance to the final as currently, they are the table toppers with 12 points. MI Women skipper Harmanpreet Kaur would be happy that everyone stepped in where it was a clinical win for the MI Women.
