Hayley Matthews was elated with her performance and said it was a honour to play for the franchise.

“Ah, crazy, obviously, such a great feeling to be a part of it. We are happy to make it at the end of the road. Obviously, being a part of the Mumbai family has been crazy. Creating history and make it till the end, winning is a great thing. I reckon, wicket to wicket. Happy to get the win at the end of the game. Be able to contribute to another team win.”

I am really happy to contribute to this team. I am glad to contribute on both ends of the field (with the bat and ball). It’s been great to be good with both aspects of the game. Trying to improve all the time, and the conditions help my off-spin. It is important to take the award, but it is even more satisfying to win with the Mumbai Indians. Whichever (batting or bowling) is better on that particular day.”
