Zimbabwe is set to host India in a three-match ODI series. The ZIM vs IND 1st ODI will take place on August 18 (Thursday). The venue of the encounter is Harare Sports Club in Harare. Zimbabwe is led by Regis Chakabva in the ZIM vs IND ODI series.

Regis Chakabva is the skipper of Zimbabwe in ZIM vs IND ODI series and will lead the team in the 1st ODI as well. The right-handed batsman will also keep the stumps in the match and open the innings. In the previous ODI series against Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe skipper scored 104 runs in 2 games with a century in one match.

Tadiwanashe Marumani

Tadiwanashe Marumani might be allowed to open the batting with Chakabva in ZIM vs IND 1st ODI. Marumani played 2 ODI games in the previous series and scored 26 runs. He started well in one of the games but got out after scoring 25 runs. He will aim to come up with a better show against India.

Innocent Kaia might be another for the team in ZIM vs IND 1st ODI. The right-handed batsman gave a good performance in the previous ODI series, He scored 127 runs in 3 games with a match-winning century in one game where he scored 110. He will be quite confident after his performance in the previous series.

Wesley Madhevere

Wesley Madhevere might be the middle-order batter for the team in the opening game against India. The right-handed batsman scored 22 runs in 3 games in the previous series. He also picked 2 wickets while bowling. Hence, he will be a beneficial player for the team with his all-round skills.

Sikandar Raza

Sikandar Raza might be another middle-order for the team in the 1st ODI game. Raza was the star of the previous ODI series against Bangladesh. The right-handed batsman scored the most 252 runs in the series, slamming centuries in two games. He also picked 5 wickets in the series and emerged as the deserving winner of the man of the series award.

Milton Shumba
