Adelaide Oval Invites Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma to Tie Knot at the Famous Venue

Days after Virat Kohli confessed that his 141-run in the second innings of Adelaide Test in 2014 was his favourite Test century, he and his girlfriend Anushka Sharma have received an invitation from the famous ground of Australia for their wedding.

The last couple of days have been dominated by reports suggesting the couple is set to tie the knot in Italy. The India Today had reported that Kohli would be getting married to his long-term girlfriend in the second week of December this year with December 9, 10, 11 and 12 being the tentative dates.

The report further claimed sources have informed that the cricketer’s friends and family have booked a place in Italy for the wedding. The wedding is set to take place in Milan, and no cricketer is invited to the wedding so far. The occasion will be a private affair.

The couple will reportedly tie the knots in Italy

But while only time will tell whether Kohli and Anushka get married in the coming week, they have got a venue for their marriage in case they are searching one for the same.

“We would be thrilled to host Virat and Anushka’s wedding at Adelaide Oval. How fantastic would it be for Virat to create more happy memories here, considering his outstanding playing history at the Oval,” Andrew Daniels CEO of Adelaide Oval was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Daniels went on to assure the couple that it will get a memorable wedding if they opt to go with Adelaide Oval.

“With 26 purpose-built function spaces to choose from, combined with a showcase of South Australia’s finest food and wine it would be an unforgettable day for the future Mr and Mrs Kohli and their guests,” he said.

Kohli had recently revealed his knock at Australia’s famous ground was a memorable one for him.

“I think from the transition point of view, the hundred in the second innings at the Adelaide Test where we almost won the match was something special to me. I will always remember that match,” he had said.

After scoring a ton in the first innings, Kohli had scored 141 in the second and had almost taken India over the line in a thrilling chase.
