AUS vs PAK: Hasan Ali Makes A Bold Claim Before Being Smacked By Australia

Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali recently opened up about the crushing defeat against India in their previous match during the ICC World Cup 2023. Hasan Ali expressed his optimism to excel in their upcoming matches, stating that the defeat “wasn’t the end of the world.”

The Babar Azam-led team commenced their World Cup 2023 campaign with consecutive victories against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in Hyderabad. However, they couldn’t maintain their winning momentum, experiencing a 7-wicket loss to India in Ahmedabad.

The Game Against India Is History – Hasan Ali

Speaking ahead of the Australia-Pakistan match, Hasan Ali emphasized the need to learn from their mistakes, stating that they are focused on winning the World Cup.

“Yes, we lost to India due to making mistakes but the stopped bus will now take two points from every stop. Losing to India wasn’t the end of the world. The game against India is history and that’s behind us,” said Hasan.

“We have discussed our mistakes in the last game so we will do our best to overcome them. We are here to win the World Cup and to achieve that we have to show improvement,” he added.

The Pakistan cricket team is currently in fourth place in the 10-team points table. They are taking on Australia in their fourth match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday, October 20.

Shaheen Afridi Is Not Fit Right Now – Hasan Ali

Hasan Ali acknowledged that facing Australia is always challenging and emphasized the need to perform at their best. He expressed confidence in Shaheen Shah Afridi regaining his form soon.

“Australia is not an easy team. We have to play at our best and that we did not do against India,” said Hasan.

“Shaheen has won us many matches. I know he is not fit right now but very soon he will be there. He is a champion.”

Shaheen Afridi has been struggling with fitness and wickets in the ongoing ICC tournament. The left-arm pacer’s bowling speed has decreased, and he has managed to pick up four wickets in three matches at an average of 34.75 and an economy rate of 6.32.
