Babar Azam and Imad Wasim have raised a number of eyebrows with their animated conversation during a practice session. The Pakistan team has been training for the upcoming series against Ireland and England as well as the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The series against New Zealand last month saw the return of Babar Azam as the T20I captain while Imad Wasim returned to action for Pakistan as well. After falling out of favour with the Pakistan team-management last year, the spin-bowling allrounder had sensationally retired from international cricket. However, he reversed his decision and made himself available for the T20 World Cup after impressing in the PSL.

Speculations were rife that not all was well between Babar Azam and Imad Wasim and the recent incident during the training session will further fuel the rumours. In a video that has been garnering a lot of attention, Babar Azam and Imad Wasim could be seen having an animated discussion while being surrounded by other players. Later, fast-bowler Naseem Shah intervened and brought the situation under control.

Meanwhile, Imad Wasim recently trashed the rumours regarding his and Mohammad Amir's poor relation with Babar Azam.  Just like Imad, Amir has also come out of retirement to play for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup this year.

"There is nothing bitter between us. I, Babar, and Amir are very good friends. We fully support our captain and want to win the T20 World Cup 2024 under the captaincy of Babar Azam," said Imad. "You never know that Babar Azam is re-appointed as captain of Pakistan to win T20 World Cup 2024."

Before playing the T20 World Cup next month, Pakistan will be playing two T20I series - a three-match series against Ireland and a four-match series against England.

For the T20 World Cup, Pakistan are in Group A alongside arch-rivals India, Canada, co-hosts USA and Ireland. Pakistan will launch their campaign on June 6. In the last edition of the T20 World Cup, the Men in Green had finished runners-up and will be desperate to go all the way this year.
