The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended the date to purchase the tender documents in relation to the Invitation to Tender for Media Rights to the Indian Premier League Seasons 2023-2027.

The Governing Council of the IPL had issued the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) documents available for payment of the non-refundable ITT fees on March 29, 2022.

Star India owns the current rights from 2018 to 2022 for which they are paying the BCCI Rs 16,347.50 crore (USD 2.55 billion). However, this number, according to people who are in the decision-making capacity, is likely to be more than double for the next cycle, because of the introduction of two new teams which had increased the number of matches from 60 to 74.
