CSK vs SRH Scorecard, IPL 2024, Match 46 Highlights: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tushar Deshpande star in Chennai Super Kings' win

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) hosted Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 46th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the two heavyweights of the league took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (28th April). 

After suffering a loss in the last game, Chennai Super Kings made a strong comeback as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. They oozed their class with the bat and ball and claimed their 5th win of the IPL 2024. 

CSK vs SRH IPL 2024 Match 46- Chennai Super Kings innings: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Daryl Mitchell and Shivam Dube play valiant knocks 

Chennai Super Kings were asked to bat first and they didn't have a great start with the bat. Ajinkya Rahane's (9) poor run in the tournament continued as he was back in the hut for 3rd over of the game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. 

However, after that skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad (98) and Daryl Mitchell (52) led the rescue charge and made sure they took the team to the the big total. They took the attack to the opposition bowlers and added 107 runs for the second wicket before the latter got out. 

Ruturaj Gaikwad continued his golden form and smashed the bowlers all over the park. Shivam Dube joined him and the duo put on the 5th gear and scored quick runs, putting Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers under pressure at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. 

The duo added 74 runs before Ruturaj Gaikwad had a heartbreak and perished for 98 runs. Shivam Dube at the other end scored 39 runs while MS Dhoni scored 5 runs off 2 balls as Chennai Super Kings went past 200 runs with ease. Based on the collective effort with the bat they ended with 212/3. 

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jaydev Unadkat and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were the pick of the bowlers as they both returned with figures of 1/38. Apart from them, T Natarajan also picked one wicket at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

CSK vs SRH IPL 2024 Match 46 innings: Chennai bowlers wreak havoc across SRH batters 

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a horrible start to their innings as they lost early wickets. Travis Head (13), Abhishek Sharma (15), and Anmolpreet Singh perished inside the powerplay as Tushar Deshpande oozed his class with the ball and put his team at the top. 

After that, Aiden Markram (32) and Heinrich Klaasen (20) tried to get going but couldn't as they lost wickets at the crucial junctures of the game. Chennai Super Kings bowlers were all over the batters and put them under pressure at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. 

Tushar Deshpande was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged a four-fer and helped his team win the game by 78 runs. They bundled out the opposition for 134 runs and won their 5th game of the season.
