Hardik Pandya and his Mumbai Indians teammate endured a nightmare with the ball in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

The game started on a good note for the MI skipper as he won the toss and opted to bowl first. However, it did not take long for his decision to backfire as Jake Fraser-McGurk came out all guns blazing. For the second time in the ongoing IPL 2024, the Australian youngster smashed a 15-ball fifty as he blew Mumbai Indians away in the early overs.

He completed his fifty in the fourth over by hitting Piyush Chawla for a six. By the time the powerplay came to an end, DC had raced away to 92 for no loss with Fraser-McGurk scoring 78 of those runs from just 24 balls. MI finally tasted success in the eighth over when Piyush Chawla dismissed Fraser-McGurk.

The right-handed batsman departed after scoring 84 runs off just 27 balls with the help of 11 fours and six sixes. He also shared a 114-run stand with Abishek Porel for the first wicket.

As things were not going well for MI on the field, their captain Hardik Pandya lost his cool over something and looked highly animated. The India allrounder hardly shows anger on the field and usually sports a smile on his face. However, he was unhappy with something during the game and made it very clear with his action between the 10th and 11th over of DC innings.

Watch as Hardik Pandya gets angry on his teammates:

Talking about the game, DC went on to post a huge total of 257 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs. Apart from Fraser-McGurk, the likes of Porel (36), Shai Hope (41), Rishabh Pant (29), and Tristan Stubbs (48*) also played crucial knocks for the hosts.

"That’s my role, go out there and score as many as I can and get the team off to a nice start. Not at all, if I get ones and twos it’s probably off the last ball of the over or if I mis-hit it. It’s something I’ve always had, getting that base right and having the right stance. There’s a lot of timing involved in it. The ones that you mis-hit, you need to have a strong core, upper body and glutes as well," said Fraser-McGurk after his knock.
