Jake Fraser-McGurk, on Tuesday (May 7), took Avesh Khan to the cleaners to give Delhi Capitals a solid start with the bat in the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

The right-handed batsman got going by hitting Trent Boult for a four in the very first over. In the third over of the innings bowled by the New Zealand batter, Jake Fraser-McGurk made his intentions clear by hitting him for two fours and a six.

And in the fourth over, he went all out against Avesh Khan to complete a stunning fifty in just 19 balls. The Australian youngster hit the Royals pacer for 28 runs in the over. He welcomed Avesh in the attack by hitting him for three fours in a row.

On the fourth ball, Jake Fraser-McGurk hit the right-arm pacer for a six, depositing the ball over long-off. On the fifth ball, the Delhi Capitals opener hit another four before ending the over with another six. The six on the final ball also saw him complete his fourth half-century in just seven innings in his debut IPL season.

It was also the third time this season that he completed a fifty in less than 20 balls. The hard-hitting batsman has already scored two 15-ball fifties in the ongoing IPL 2024.

Jake Fraser-McGurk has been mighty impressive in his maiden IPL season. He was not a part of the Delhi Capitals' squad for the ongoing season but was later roped in by them as Lungi Ngidi's injury replacement. The highly-rated batsman struggled to get into the playing eleven in the initial stage of the tournament but has not looked back since his debut last month.

He announced his arrival in the IPL with a 55-run knock against Lucknow Super Giants on his debut. Later, he smashed 15-ball half-centuries against Sunrisers Hyderabad as well as Mumbai Indians. So far, he has scored 309 runs in 7 matches at an average of 44 and a stunning strike rate of 235.87.
