Do Not Enjoy Too Much Off The Field- Shoaib Akhtar's Advice To Hardik Pandya After His Success In The England Series

Shoaib Akhtar expressed his satisfaction with Hardik Pandya’s performance in the series against England but expressed the wish that he would continue to put his career first.

India’s bowling attack was a key factor in their victory over England in the tour’s white ball leg. All-rounder Hardik Pandya’s return as a pace bowler gave India a big boost while veteran bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Yuzvendra Chahal also contributed.

Pandya excelled in the 2022 Indian Premier League, leading the Gujarat Titans to victory in their inaugural campaign, and afterwards frequently bowled as a third seamer in the three-match ODI series against England, demonstrating his all-around fitness.

Pandya was India’s second-highest run scorer and second-highest wicket-taker at the end of the ODI series thanks to his all-around prowess. He also made history by becoming the first Indian player to grab four wickets and reach 50 in a T20I match. He is undoubtedly a fantastic batter.

Shoaib Akhtar, a former pace bowler for Pakistan, expressed his happiness at Pandya’s decision to make a comeback as an all-rounder rather than a batsman.

“He completes the performance of the team. He had a big jolt and, due to his fitness, stayed off the team for about two years. He used to live carefreely, but now that he is doing better, he is more concentrated and appears to be having fun on the field. Because he is an uncommon skill, do not indulge yourself too much off the field” said Shoaib on his YouTube website.

“He is a fantastic fast bowler and fielder, making him an excellent addition to the pace battery. He performs and manages to outperform the other bowlers in the later overs, which are difficult for many bowlers” Shoaib Akhtar Added.

An upcoming ODI series will battle India and West Indies against one another. The first ODI between WI and IND is set on Friday, July 22, at Trinidad’s Queen Park Oval Stadium.
