Hardik Pandya's brother arrested for cheating and forgery: Reports

Hardik Pandya, India’s star all-rounder, and Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper is presently facing tough times both on and off the field. Hardik has been struggling to deliver both as a player and Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper in the ongoing IPL 2024.

Now, it seems that things are not going well on the personal front as well. Hardik’s cousin, Vaibhav Pandya, has been arrested on allegations of fraud and financial mismanagement involving the MI skipper and his brother, Krunal Pandya.

Vaibhav, who is older than Hardik, is facing charges related to cheating and mishandling a significant sum of 4.3 crore. It is being said that both Hardik and Krunal have filed complaints against their cousin Vaibhav, resulting in his arrest on these serious charges.

According to Insidesport, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, and their cousin Vaibhav Pandya formed a partnership firm focusing on polymer-related business ventures. Hardik and Krunal each held a 40% share in the company, while Vaibhav owned the remaining 20%.

However, Vaibhav's recent arrest on charges of cheating and forgery brought their business partnership into turmoil. In 2021, the trio ventured into the polymer business together.

However, Vaibhav later started a similar business venture without informing the Pandya Brothers. This action violated the terms of their contract, leading Hardik and Krunal to file a case against Vaibhav, who is now arrested on charges of breaching the agreement and mismanaging funds.

Hardik Pandya's struggle continues in the IPL 2024

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya returned to the Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the IPL 2024, taking over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma. However, the start of the season didn't go as planned for the five-time champions, as they suffered three back-to-back defeats in the league.

However, despite the initial setbacks, MI managed to secure their first victory in the ongoing IPL 2024 as they defeated Rishabh Pant's Delhi Capitals by 29 runs in their fourth game in the tournament. This win provided them with a much-needed boost, as they are now aiming to carry forward the momentum into their upcoming matches.

Mumbai is all set to host the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 25th game of the ongoing IPL 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. However, Pandya has been facing a lot of booing during the MI’s matches in the tournament for snatching captaincy from Rohit Sharma.

Recently, Hardik and Krunal made the headlines for singing the devotional song Hare Rama Hare Krishna. The video shared by the Pandya brothers went crazily viral on social media. In the viral clip, Hardik was seen dressed in a lavender kurta and a white pajama.

He was seen singing the devotional song with his brother Krunal on the mic. Krunal can be seen donning a pink-colored kurta. The clip also features shots of his family members and pet dog. Notably, Krunal is part of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL 2024.
