IND vs AUS: Irfan Pathan Takes Dig At Pakistan After India Wins Asia Cup 2023

Irfan Pathan took a brutal dig at Pakistan after India crushed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets to win the Asia Cup 20223 final. Irfan Pathan posted a hilarious tweet on X (Formerly Twitter) to take a dig at Pakistan without naming them.

India crushed Pakistan by 10 wickets in the Asia Cup 2023 final in what could be termed the biggest victory in the Asia Cup final. India dismantled Sri Lanka for just 50 runs in the 1st innings. Later, youngsters Ishan Kishan (23) and Shubman Gill (27) were enough to grab victory by 10 wickets.

Neighbours Are Still Trying To Make Some Noise: Irfan Pathan

After India’s victory in the series, former left-arm pacer Irfan Pathan took a dig at Pakistan. He said that they are trying to make noise but their voices are not reaching Colombo city.

“Padosi abhi bhi Awaz Karne ki Koshish Kar rahe hai, Lekin Colombo Tak unki Awaaz pahoch nahi rahi hai. (Neighbours are still trying to make some noise, but their voices are not reaching Colombo)”, Pathan wrote on X. Have a look at some at his tweets below.

Earlier, Pakistan fans had started a Twitter trend named “they can’t play him”. The trend emerged on Twitter (Now X) as Shaheen Afridi picked a 4-wicket against India during the group stage match. The left-arm pacer dismissed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in his first few overs. However, the match was washed out due to rain.

During the Asia Cup 2023 Final, India showcased a marvelous performance with the ball in 1st innings. With the combined pace attack of Jasprit Bumrah (1), Mohammed Siraj (6), and Hardik Pandya (3), India washed out Sri Lanka at just 50. During the match, Pathan also made some tweets to laud the Indian team.

India bowled out Sri Lanka batters like a house of cards. Mohammed Siraj was the hero of the day. He won the player of the match award for his five-wicket.
