India Will Be The Favourites If Jasprit Bumrah Delivers, Opines Gautam Gambhir On India's Chances In T20 World Cup

Former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir mentioned that picked India to be title contenders if Jasprit Bumrah brings his A-game into play in the T20 World Cup 2021. The predictions have started for the T20 World cup as we get closer to the big tournament after almost five years.

The schedule and the fixtures have been released for the T20 World cup 2021 and the tournament is shifted to UAE  from India amid the pandemic problems during IPL. The Cricket boards have started naming their final squads for the big tournament and the excitement has started moving up the ladder.

Gautam Gambhir Reckons India Have The Firepower In Every Context

Gautam Gambhir mentioned that India has a lot of chances in the upcoming T20 World cup with firepower in all departments especially in the spin and fast bowling departments. He reckoned Jasprit Bumrah will be the X-Factor for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup and added India will definitely be the favourites if Bumrah delivers.

“There are a lot of chances. They have got the firepower in every context. They have got the batting, they have got the spin. They have got the fast bowlers as well. When you have someone like Jasprit Bumrah, you will always have that X-factor. He has got to be the biggest factor in the T20 World Cup.” 

“You will keep building about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, I am sure. But one person to look out for is Jasprit Bumrah because of his form and if he delivers, India has got to be the favourites,” Gautam Gambhir opined.

Gautam Gambhir Picked The Favorites For The T20 World Cup

Gautam Gambhir named England and West Indies to be the favourites for the T20 Worldcup. He went on to predict the finalists too with either of India and New Zealand playing England as the finalists.

“You have asked me many times, many tough questions. England and West Indies. England versus India or New Zealand. Give me this much,” Gautam Gambhir added.

The T20 World Cup 2021 is scheduled to start on October 17 with the qualifiers and will end by November 14.
