Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim opened up about his relationship with skipper Babar Azam ahead of the series against Ireland. He stated that they have nothing bitter between them and all they are focused on is winning the T20 World Cup 2024 under the leadership of Babar Azam.

Pakistan are preparing well for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. They recently drew the T20I series against New Zealand and now will be taking on Ireland and England before heading into the tournament, slated to take place in the United States of America and the Caribbean in June this year.

Ahead of the World Cup, Pakistan National Cricket Team saw quite a few changes. Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir took back their retirements and were included for the World Cup. Apart from this, Babar Azam also was reappointed as the captain of the team, taking over the baton from Shaheen Afridi.

Imad Wasim playing under the leadership of Babar Azam didn't go well with many. This is because there have been several reports which have suggested that the duo don't share a great camaraderie between them. They fought with each other during the PSL, which made Babar leave the Karachi Kings.

However, Imad Wasim refused to accept all the reports. He stated that Babar Azam and Mohammad Amir are very good friends and they don't have anything between them. He expressed his desire to win the T20 World Cup 2024 for the team. Speaking about the same to the media, he stated:

"There is nothing bitter between us. I, Babar, and Amir are very good friends. We fully support our captain and want to win the T20 WorldCup 2024 under the captaincy of Babar Azam."

Imad Wasim also talked about the Babar Azam being reappointed as the captain of Pakistan. He believes that everything happens for a good reason and who knows Pakistan might win T20 World Cup 2024 under Babar. He added:

"You never know that Babar Azam is re-appointed as captain of Pakistan to win T20 WorldCup 2024."
