The cricketing world is in mourning following the untimely passing on Friday evening of famous Australian bowler Shane Warne.

World Cup Winner Australian Captain Michael Clarke paid tribute to famous spinner Shane Warne, saying that it will take him some time to recover from the loss of a close friend.

On Friday, Warne was discovered unresponsive at a luxury resort in Koh Sumai, Thailand, and died after a suspected heart attack. When Clarke was starting out in cricket, Warne was a senior part of the Australian dressing room, and the two have a strong friendship off the field as well.

On Shane Warne’s death, Michael Clarke expressed his condolences

In remembrance of his close friend, Clarke stated that one should take one lesson from his legacy, which is to celebrate life as Warne did.

He told on KIIS Kyle and Jackie O radio show that he “celebrated the voyage.” ‘That’s something I need to be more aware of; you have to enjoy yourself.’ On the field, in the manner, he played, and off the field, in the way he celebrated life, Warne did both. He did it better than anyone else, and if there’s one thing we can learn from his legacy, it’s to appreciate life.

According to the Daily Mail, the 2015 World Cup-winning captain learned of the tragic news from his publicist late at night.

Clarke stated that it is difficult for him to comprehend that his close buddy has died and that it will take time for him to recover from the loss.

“To tell you the truth, I recognise someone who is close to me.”

On remembering Shane Warne, Clarke stated, “I don’t think I still grasp it’s one of my best friends.”

‘It’ll take some time,’ says the narrator. It’s still a bit surreal. It’s difficult to believe because it happened so quickly, you know?’

Clarke said even though Warne died at the young age of 52, his outgoing personality meant he ‘lived a life worth 100 years’.

Over the course of a 15-year career, Warne appeared in 145 Tests, collecting 708 wickets while also proving to be a capable lower-order batsman, with a top Test score of 99.

Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Saturday that the “sad and abrupt death” of Warne had left Australians “bewildered,” and that the cricketing legend would be honoured with a state funeral.
