4. Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill is another Indian player who grabbed a lot of limelight in 2023. The right-handed batsman finished as the leading run-getter in 2023. He smacked 1584 runs across 29 matches averaging 63+.
The Indian opener also shattered 5 centuries and 9 half-centuries. Notably, he made a strong statement by smashing an ODI double ton at the start of this year.
3. Daryl Mitchell
New Zealand middle-order batter Daryl Mitchell stormed 5 centuries in 2023 in ODIs. The right-handed batsman hit 1204 runs in 26 games and was the leading run-scorer for Blackcap this year.

Nepal was one of the teams in Asia Cup 2023 and Lamichhane played an important role in the team’s qualification for the first time. He is another player who can win the ODI Player of the Year award.
