PAK vs NED: Watch - Mohammad Nawaz Gets A Kiss From Imam-Ul-Haq After Dismissing Bas de Leede In World Cup 2023

Bas de Leede kept the Netherlands in the hunt during their chase during the ICC World Cup 2023 game against Pakistan. The match took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where Men in Green posted a total of 286 runs after being put into bat first. 

In the chase, Netherlands kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Bas de Leede along with Vikramjit Singh made sure that they didn’t fall easily. While the latter was back in the hut after 52 runs, the all-rounder kept batting and put Pakistan under pressure. 

Bas de Leede played some staggering shots but he was undone by the brilliance of Mohammad Nawaz, who bowled a ripper to send the set batter back into the hut. The Pakistan all-rounder bowled a delivery that was pitched around the middle and was turning out but was angled in. 

Bas de Leede tried to play that off the back foot and made a mess of it. He missed the ball completely as it hit the top of off stump to send the batter packing. As Mohammad Nawaz sent the batter packing, he got a kiss from Imam-ul-Haq for getting him out. 

Bas de Leede looked like the most settled Netherlands batter. He middled almost every ball and played with perfection. He ended with the knock of 67 runs off 68 balls and also smashed 6 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. 

After his wickets, the Netherlands lost wickets quickly and were bundled out for just 205 runs. Logan Van Beek tried his best in the end and was unbeaten at 28 runs but he remained stranded at one end. They lost the game by a margin of 81 runs.

Bas de Leede had a great game even though his team lost the game. The all-rounder had a staggering outing with the ball as well and he picked wickets for his team and helped them bundle out the opposition for 286 runs. 

Bas de Leede bagged a four-wicket haul as he removed Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan and Hasan Ali. The Netherlands all-rounder returned with the figures of 4/62 and put Pakistan batters under great pressure.
