Virat Kohli, on Thursday (May 9), starred with the bat in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's thumping 60-run win over Punjab Kings at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium in Dharamsala.

After Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks departed cheaply inside the powerplay, Virat Kohli took charge of the innings and played an impressive 92-run knock. Kohli was cautious after the fall of the early wickets and completed his fifty in 32 balls.

However, he shifted gears after reaching his fifty and slammed 40 runs in the next 14 balls before being dismissed by his India teammate Arshdeep Singh. Virat Kohli's 92-run knock was studded with seven fours and six sixes. Thanks to his stunning knock, RCB went on to post a daunting total of 241/7 in the allotted 20 overs before bowling out PBKS for 181 to win the game by 60 runs.

After the game, Virat Kohli came up with a heartwarming gesture for the PBKS players. While he was at his competitive best during the game, the former India skipper made sure to give a pleasant surprise to some of the PBKS players' family members after the game.

He met with the parents and other family members of a few PBKS players such as Arshdeep and Harpreet Brar. In a video posted by PBKS on their social media accounts, Kohli was seen greeting the family members with folded hands. There were smiles all around as Kohli posed for a few photos and was also seen engaging in light-hearted conversation.
