All Cricketing Nations Should Cut Ties With Pakistan - Vinod Rai

Amidst the talks on boycotting the Pakistan game, the chairman of Committee of Administrators Vinod Rai calls to terminate Pakistan from playing international cricket. He wants them to be isolated as it happened with South Africa in previous years. They already sent a letter regarding the issue to International Cricket Council.

After the attack on India’s CRPF Jawans, where 40 people were killed. The people of India showed their outrage on social media and expressed that they should cut off all their ties with Pakistan in all the ways possible. Regarding the same, they want the Indian board to cut off cricketing ties with Pakistan.

Why damage Indian Cricket?

Speaking of India’s participation in the ICC World Cup 2019, the Chairman quoted that not playing them in the big tournament is like shooting ourselves in the foot. It will deny 2 points for India, something for which, India is working for four years now.

“Why do we boycott Pakistan in World Cup when we have prepared four years for this tournament. It’s like shooting ourselves in the foot. Why damage Indian cricket because we don’t want to play Pakistan in World Cup,” CoA chief Vinod Rai told India Today.

We Must Try To Isolate Pakistan – Vinod Rai

Apart from that, he believes that Pakistan should be isolated in International cricket. He wants all the boards in the International Cricket Council to learn about the terrorism in Pakistan country and wants them to cut off their ties with Pakistan.

“We must try to isolate Pakistan from cricket community. That’s what we are trying to do. We want other ICC members to realise that terror emanates from Pakistan. Will raise this point in ICC meet next week,” Rai said.

“Long term plan, we want to declare Pakistan as the apartheid of cricket,” said Rai. Just the way SA at one point, no team was playing them. Similar plan we need to do with Pakistan where no team should play them,” he added.

Recently, regarding the same, India has already sent a mail to ICC. They explained everything in detail in order to understand them that Pakistan is the country, which is the base for terrorism. He also wrote about the concern regarding the safety of Indian players, support staff during the major event against Pakistan.

Well, it seems like Vinod Rai is pretty determined to make Pakistan out of the International Cricket. If the other boards join hands with India, then probably, Pakistan will not feature in any International game.
