Allan Lamb was one of the most dogged England batsmen of his time. In an international career that spanned over ten years, the South African born represented England in 79 Tests and 122 ODIs, averaging nearly 40. The right-handed batsman was also one of the two batsmen in the 1992 World Cup final, holding the key for his side. Meanwhile, he joined Cricket Addictor for a Question and Answer session and named the most passionate player he ever saw.

After a long and hard thought, Lamb picked the Indian icon, Sachin Tendulkar, as the most passionate player. Tendulkar, who turned 47 recently, is the holder of numerous records in Test and ODI cricket. Not only the Master Blaster is the highest run-getter in both the formats, but also the most capped player and the one with the highest number of centuries. The 47-year old easily neutralised the likes of Brett Lee, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, and Curtly Ambrose in his 24-year career.

The 65-year old claimed that Sachin loved batting more than anything else and passionate about what he did. Furthermore, the former Mumbai batsman understands and works on his game so much due to which he was his pick.

“To me, probably it’s a difficult one, but I would put Sachin as the guy. This guy loved batting; he was so passionate at what he did; he works a lot on his game, so Sachin Tendulkar.” Allan Lamb said.
