Australia vs India 2018: Shane Warne Lashes Out at Common Sense of Australian Cricket

They say common sense is uncommon in common. Former Australian legendary spinner Shane Warne is not happy with the planning of the Australian cricket. Warne doesn’t understand why Aaron Finch will bat down the order for his state team Victoria in the Sheffield Shield. Finch is expected to open the innings for Australia come the first Test match against India on December 6 at Adelaide.

Thus, it makes all the sense in the world for the Victoria team management to open the innings with Finch, as he is going to do the same for the national side. Meanwhile, rookie southpaw Marcus Harris could be Finch’s opening partner in the first Test match. Therefore, Harris can make his Test debut. Harris is slated to open for Victoria as well.

Shane Warne comes down hard.

Meanwhile, Aaron Finch is not in the best of forms in the white ball version. Finch has had a quiet last ten matches and hasn’t batted at the top of his game. However, Finch is confident of turning the tide in the red ball version.

On the other hand, Finch had an impressive Test debut for Australia in the series against Pakistan. The right-hander went on to score 181 runs in the four innings and was the third highest run-getter. Therefore, Finch will like to come up with similar performances in the four-Test match series against India.

Finch has all the experience under his belt and would like to come good. Meanwhile, Shane Warne is not happy with the whole planning before the Test series.

Shane Warne took to Twitter to release his frustration. Warne tweet read as, “Just read @AaronFinch5 will not be opening in the shield game this week with Harris, but a week later they will open together for Aust against India. This is a disgrace by Vic & must be fixed before the game- can we please have a common sense back into cricket in this country!” ?
