Social media can be a funny place to wander across at times. One such incident took place on Thursday when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a picture of the Christchurch ground and asked the fans to spot the pitch.

India suffered an utter humiliation by the hands of the Kiwis in the first game of the two-match series as they lost the game by 10 wickets. India’s batting cost them the match as the batsmen had a poor display on show.

They were bundled up for 165 runs in the first innings and for 191 runs in the second innings. The green lush pitch of Wellington hel[ped the Kiwi fast bowlers as Tim Southee won the Man of the Match award picking nine wickets in the game. Debutant Kyle Jamieson also picked four wickets in the first innings.
