Yet again, Rahul Dravid is in the news for Conflict of Interest Issues. The BCCI ethics Officer once again asked the former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid to depose himself in person. DK Jain has asked Indian cricket great Rahul Dravid to appear in person for the second time, on November 12,  for “further submissions and clarifications” on the conflict of interest allegations on him.

Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association’s (MPCA) member Sanjiv Gupta had filed the conflict of interest complaint against Dravid. He alleged that there is a conflict of interest in Dravid’s current role as National Cricket Academy (NCA) head and being an India Cements employee.

Notice has been sent to Rahul Dravid:

Recently, Rahul Dravid has clarified that he is in the absence of Indian Cement over the years. On September 26th, in Mumbai, Dravid himself clarified everything in details. However, once again, he was under the scanner with the officials involving DK Jain wants to get clarified a few more.

“Rahul Dravid has been asked to depose himself in person. A notice has been sent to him for further clarifications on November 12,” a BCCI source told ANI. This will be the second meeting of Dravid with the ethics officer. The first meeting had taken place in Mumbai.

Currently, Rahul Dravid is the NCA Director and is also a vice-president in the India Cements group, which owns the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He was also the coach of the India A and Under-19 teams before being given the rein of the NCA.

As per the BCCI constitution, no individual can hold more than one post at the same time. So, the Ethics Officer DK Jain is in doubt that Rahul Dravid is enjoying two roles at the same time.

Of late, it has been a big issue in Indian Cricket. Recently, Sourav Ganguly had lashed out after Dravid was issued a notice in August, saying “God help Indian cricket”. He wants it to be removed completely so that various professionals will be the member of different committees, which will help the growth of Indian Cricket.
