Young Team India opener Prithvi Shaw made a great start to his first tour of Australia as he played a 69-ball 66 runs knock on second day of the four-day warm-up game against Cricket Australia XI at Sydney.

Meanwhile, Indian batters made full use of the opportunity as all prominent batsmen managed to score half-centuries. Only KL Rahul fluffed an opportunity after being given a first crack at making the opening slot his own. After put to bat first, Prithvi Shaw adapted to the conditions quickly while Rahul struggled.

The Mumbai batsman dominated a relatively weak attack almost scoring at a run per ball. He punched the ball all-round the corner and was looked good in both front and the back foot.

The incident took place in the 21st over of the innings when Prithvi Shaw was in full flow smashing the balls to the boundary. However, against the run of things Daniel Fallins produced a perfect leg break that pitched outside the leg stump and spun a long way in to rattle Shaw’s timber from his back.

The young opener tried to sweep it only to loose his balance to fall down in the ground. It was the only wicket that Fallins took in the innings and it was indeed a memorable one. Fallins, who made his first-class debut only last year, recreated a Shane Warne getting Prithvi Shaw out from the back of his legs.
