The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala might be the most picturesque cricket stadium in the country but it is fast losing its popularity among the fans because of its local weather conditions. The first ODI between India and South Africa, which was supposed to be going on right now, is in danger of being washed out.

The last international game at the venue, incidentally a T20I between the same two sides, was also washed out without a ball being bowled. With only three-match in the series, the abandonment of one game will just make the contest a bit less exciting as the fans made it clear in their tweets.

With the chances of the game starting looking very slim, the fans took to Twitter to slam BCCI for choosing Dharamsala as one of the venues of the short series. A minimum of 40 overs game is needed for a result while the match needs to start by 6:30 pm latest.

Only time will tell whether the game takes place or not but the fans have started losing their patience. A number of them took to Twitter to lash out at BCCI. Here are some of the reactions:

The second and third match of the series will take place in Lucknow and Kolkata on March 15 and 18 respectively. The next two games are unlikely to be affected by rain at this time of the year.

India, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in the ongoing series after the poor tour of New Zealand. India suffered crushing whitewashes in the three-match ODI series and the two-match Test series after sweeping the five-match T20I series.

South Africa, on the other hand, will be high on confidence after beating Australia 3-0 in the ODIs. The win over Australia was their first series win in any format in the last 12 months. With the momentum on their side, the Proteas will be eager to make the most of it.
