Team India will look to extend their lead when they clash against Windies in the second ODI at Visakhapatnam following their convincing win in the first ODI at Guwahati.

Meanwhile, the hosts, who put up a brilliant show with the bat will be keen to test their middle-order. They have brought in Ambati Rayudu and Rishabh Pant in the revamped batting line-up and will look to test their pedigree with the World Cup in sight. However, the top-order have been a strength for India in this format which was evident from the last game. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma added 264 runs for the second wicket to make the stiff chase look easy.

However, India, who are out with their premier pacers, will look to give their second string options one more go. The likes of Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav were expensive while young Khaleel Ahmed blew hot and cold.

Going into the second game, the visitors will look to dwell on the issues with the ball, especially the inability to absorb pressure when put under the pump by aggressive batting. Oshane Thomas has the pace but needs to do better in terms of line and length while the spinners may look to bowl slower in the air and give the ball the chance to grip off the surface.

Furthermore, apart from Shimron Hetmyer, the batting also looked out of place for Windies against India’s spinners. They will also have to sort this going into the second game.

Match Prediction

Windies were good in the first ODI, especially while batting. But it was the brilliance of two really talented players that took the game away from the Caribbeans. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are forces of nature and can dictate any game any time.

The visitors can only hope they do everything right while restricting these two in the batting and will be keen to sneak in a win against India on Wednesday.

However, with experience by their side, India are the clear favourites to go 2-0 up in the series.
