Indian And Pakistan Fans Join Hands To Brutally Troll Shoaib Akhtar After He Says He Turned Down Million Dollars, 2 Mercedes, Apartment From Bookie
Updated - 03 Nov 2019, 01:11 PM
Former Pakistan fast-bowler Shoaib Akhtar is all over the news and social media for his recent comments on match-fixing. Shoaib Akhtar recently opened up on how his teammates were indulged in match-fixing during his playing career. Well, in the last couple of decades, Pakistan cricket indeed suffered numerous setbacks due to the match-fixing exposes.
Arguably the biggest scandal took place when Pakistan toured England in 2010. Three of the most prominent names in Pakistan cricket at that time – Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir and the-then captain Salman Butt – were caught in match-fixing. Shoaib Akhtar, who was a part of the tour too, opened up about the match-fixing culture in Pakistan cricket.

Shoaib Akhtar claimed that sometimes he felt like almost everyone in his team as well as the opposition were match-fixers. He also revealed his former teammate Asif told him about how he fixed a match.
“I was always of the belief that I can never cheat Pakistan, no match-fixing but I was surrounded by match-fixers. I was playing against 21 people (sic) — 11 theirs and 10 ours. Who knows who was the match-fixer,” Shoaib Akhtar revealed during a talk show ‘Rewind With Samina Peerzada’.
“There was so much match-fixing. Asif told me which all matches they had fixed and how they did it,” he added.
In a recent interview, he also claimed that he too was approached by a bookie. Shoaib Akhtar insisted that he was offered a million dollars, two Mercedes cars and an apartment in Fulham to fix a game. Akhtar said he not only turned down the offers but also beat the guy who made the offer.
“I was offered a million Dollars, 2 S-Class Mercedes and an apartment in Fulham to fix a match – I closed the door and gave the guy who made the offer a beating,” Shoaib Akhtar was quoted as saying by Pakistani journalist Saj Sadiq in his tweet.
However, the Indian and Pakistani fans were not all impressed with Akhtar’s comments and brutally trolled him for the same. Most of the fans said that the ex-cricketer is self-obsessed and made the comment only to seek attention.
Here are some of the reactions:
Lmao, Shoaib, would’ve fixed a game for a used honda civic.

How much attention does this guy want?

There are literally millions of fans in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh who get swayed in front of this attention-seeker because he was once an international player.
A tribute to those who actually sit and down and listen to his gibberish talk on social media.

He’s so self obsessed.

All he wants is followers, by praising our (indian) team and criticising Pakistani team. Great fast bowler but a terrible analyst.

At this point, i have serious trouble differentiating truth n verbal diarrhea from Shoaib.
He's funny n lively tho. But all his comments are to be taken on surface level n not confused w the truth. ?
