New Zealand Cricket General Manager James Wear has confirmed Kiwis players will be available for the complete season of the IPL 2019. Earlier, Cricket Australia and England and Wales Cricket Board had confirmed that their players would not be available for the entire season.

Thus, on one hand, where CA and ECB see IPL 2019 as an injury threat to their players before the ICC World Cup, the New Zealand cricket see it as an opportunity. Consequently, two boards (ECB and CA) see risks in letting their players play for the whole season. However, New Zealand cricket believes IPL will be a good platform for their players to get ready for the mega event.

New Zealand Cricketers will be part for the whole season.

Meanwhile, the 12th season of the IPL is slated to be preponed and is set to commence from 23 March. In fact, South Africa or UAE could be the hosts of the IPL 2019. The next season could move out of India as there would be general elections in the country.

On the other hand, ICC World Cup 2019 will kickstart from 30 May with hosts England taking on South Africa in the opener.

“All the players will be available for the entire league,” Wear said on Monday while talking to Sportstar.

“We think it will be a good preparation for the players. The more experience they get playing outside New Zealand, the better. The IPL is a great platform for players like Corey (Anderson) and Mitchell (Santner),” Wear added.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia and England Cricket Board have confirmed their players will not be available for the lucrative T20 league beyond May 1.
