IPL 2019: Watch - Dale Steyn Gears Up Ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore's Next Tie

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) stare a potential ouster from this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) ahead of their next clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 19 (Friday) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. However, they have received a much-needed booster ahead of the epic tie. South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has joined the squad and is gearing up to feature in the next game.

The Virat Kohli-led side have only managed to win one game in the eight games they have played so far. Their only win came against Mumbai Indians and with those two points, they sit at the bottom of the points table. Meanwhile, it has been their bowling which has cost Royal Challengers Bangalore their match. Like previous seasons, they lacked a leader in the pace unit which proved to be detrimental for them.

However, the franchise are looking at veteran Proteas fast bowler Dale Steyn as the potential leader who could overturn their fortune in this league. Bangalore roped the 35-year-old pacer as the replacement of Nathan Coulter-Nile. The Australian pacer joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp late after the series against Australia. But he suffered an injury and went back to his country. Moreover, Coulter-Nile decided to pull out with the upcoming ICC World Cup in sight.

Dale Steyn has been among form playing first-class cricket in South Africa. The star all-rounder also featured for South Africa in the recent ODI series against Pakistan and looked in good knick. The veteran fast bowler will look to keep up the good work when he takes the field for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against Kolkata. Meanwhile, ahead of that tie, Steyn looked in good rhythm hitting the bullseye with perfection.

Virat Kohli will want his star bowler to be the fortune-changer for his side as they look desperate to pocket the two crucial points.
