IPL 2020 Auction: Here Is The Full List Of Players

A total of 332 players have been shortlisted for the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, which is to be held in Kolkata on December 19th. The IPL management has shaved down a list of 971 registered players and sent the final list to the eight franchises on Wednesday. In total, 332 players set to go under the hammer for the upcoming season of the tournament.

After the franchises’ request, the officials have added 24 new players who weren’t in the original list. Among them are Kesrick Williams, who was a part of the West Indies squad in the T20I series, Australia’s Dan Christian and Adam Zampa and Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim.

Seven players registered under INR 2 Crore Category:

With INR 2 crore as the highest reserve price, seven overseas players – Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Dale Steyn & Angelo Mathews have opted to slot in the highest bracket. Glenn Maxwell and Chris Lynn are expected to cause a bidding war alongside Pat Cummins and Mitchell Marsh.

Robin Uthappa, released by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after a dismal performance last season, is the only Indian player in the auction pool with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore. Nine foreign players — England’s Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy, Chris Woakes and David Willey, South Africa’s Chris Morris and Kyle Abbott, and Australia’s Adam Zampa, Shaun Marsh and Kane Richardson — also carry a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.

Even in INR 1 Crore bracket, there are the likes of Aaron Finch, Evin Lewis, Marcus Stoinis, Sam Curran, James Pattinson and Tom Banton, who can cause the bidding war. All of them have the potential to come out as the highest-paid cricketer of the IPL 2020 auction as well.

Surprisingly, the likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Kusal Perera, Dawid Malan and James Neesham placed in INR 50 Lakh Category. All of them are expected to cause a bidding war among the franchises.

Other Indian stars, Piyush Chawla, Yusuf Pathan and Jaydev Unadkat, have set their base price at INR 1 crore. In total 23 players are listed under that category. Leaving out three Indians, a total of 20 overseas players named in the chart. Surprisingly, none of the Indian players listed in the INR 2 Crores category.
