IPL 2020: Ishan Kishan's Rumoured Girlfriend Posts Heartwarming Message After His Heroic Knock Against RCB Goes In Vain

Aditi Hundia, girlfriend of Mumbai Indians star Ishan Kishan, has reacted in a heartwarming manner after the batsman’s stunning knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday.

Playing his first game of the tournament, the left-handed batsman played a stunning knock of 99 to take his side agonizingly close of a famous win before the defending champions lost the game in the super over. Chasing 202, Mumbai Indians were reeling at 78 for 4 in the 12th over when Kieron Pollard joined Ishan Kishan in the middle.

At that stage, it looked all over for the four-time champions. However, the duo shared a 119-run stand to turn the game on its head. In the final over, Mumbai Indians needed to score 19 and Ishan Kishan nearly took the side over the line. He was on strike for four of the six balls and sent two of them over the boundary.

But when five runs were needed of the last two balls, he was dismissed on the fifth delivery while going for a big shot. Pollard then hit a four to push the game to a super over where RCB won the game while chasing 8.

The trio of Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma managed just 7 runs in the Super Over bowled by Navdeep Saini. RCB skipper Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers then comfortably overhauled the target without losing a wicket.

While Ishan Kishan could not take his team over the line, his girlfriend was very proud of his efforts. Soon after his brilliant knock ended, she took to Instagram to post a story. Posting a clip of the batsman walking off the field, she wrote:

“I am so so proud of you baby.”
