IPL 2018: Ishant Sharma Becomes First Indian Bowler To Go Unsold

For the second running year, Ishant Sharma went unsold in the IPL auction. Last year too, Ishant went unsold in the IPL auction before being roped in by Kings XI Punjab as a replacement for an injured Murali Vijay.

This year, Ishant had brought down his base price to 75 Lakh from Rs 2 Crore, but that didn’t help his cause, and he went unsold, again.

Ishant was the first India fast bowler of the day to go unsold. Before him, three of the Indian players had though went unsold. Murali Vijay, Naman Ojha and Parthiv Patel were the three Indian players to go unsold earlier.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes has again highlighted the day as he has been the highest paid player till now. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for an amount of Rs 12.5 Crore.
