India’s talisman batsman Yuvraj Singh has heaped praise on Hardik Pandya. Yuvraj believes it could be a special World Cup for Baroda all-rounder if he continues his good form going. Pandya is striking the ball cleanly and he could be a big player for the Indian team if he continues to bat like this. The right-hander is in sublime form in the ongoing season and he will like to carry forward the same form.

Hardik Pandya has scored 373 runs in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League while playing for Mumbai India. Pandya is striking everything from the middle of the bat and he has scored his runs at a staggering strike rate of 197.35. Thus, the right-hander is in the form of his life and he would like to come up with a similar performance in the upcoming World Cup.

Pandya is fine form.

On the other hand, Yuvraj Singh was the hero of India’s World Cup success as he was the Player of the Tournament. In fact, Yuvraj Singh expects similar performances from Hardik Pandya as he has observed the all-rounder from close quarters in the Mumbai Indians camp.

“I was actually having this conversation with him (Hardik) yesterday where I told him that ‘you have a great chance of performing really well with the ball and bat’, the kind of form he is in at the moment.

“Definitely, the way he is batting at the moment, it is phenomenal and I hope he carries that form (into the World Cup). He has been bowling well in patches but as I said it is all about how you handle the pressure,” said Yuvraj.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya was on song against Kolkata Knight Riders when he scored a blistering knock of 91 runs from 34 balls. Yuvraj said that it was Pandya’s best innings of the IPL. Pandya was on fire against KKR when MI had their backs against the wall.

It was his best knock in IPL.

“It is probably the best shape as a batsman to get in. I have been watching since the practice games, he was hitting the ball really well. I had told him ‘it is going to be a special tournament for you, the way you are hitting the ball’,” said the left-hander.

“Over the years, as an experienced player you know if someone is hitting the ball well, he is in great shape. He got 91 from 34 balls against KKR, probably that is the best innings I have seen in the IPL just because he hit four quality bowlers he was batting against.

“When you are doing that, you know that someone is batting very well,” added Yuvraj Singh.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is batting at the top of his game and he would like to bring his best to the table in the upcoming World Cup. Pandya will like to tighten the screws on his bowling and he would bring the balance to the side as an all-rounder.
