The unusual bowling action of India star Kedar Jadhav has always attracted attention. But before you get the picture wrong, we should tell you that Jadhav’s action has not attracted any criticism but humorous reactions.

Kedar bowls Laisth Malinga-like round-arm style with the difference being that of pace. Another big difference is the release point. While Malinga releases his bowl from a fair height, Jadhav releases it from a very low point which makes his action quite amusing. Not surprisingly, his action has attracted humour reactions.

Well, Divya Spandana, Congress social media and communications head, must have thought her tweet would be taken light-heartedly when she compared Jadhav’s bowling action with the recent fall in the value of Rupee. As soon as Jadhav impressed with the ball for India in the Asia Cup, Divya took to Twitter to post her tweet, writing:

“Kedar Jadhav’s bowling action is so low. Still not as low as the value of Rupee ? “

The tweet, however, did not go down well with the BJP. BJP Karnataka took the message as a dig at the government and blasted Divya, writing:

“Not sure about Kedar Jadhav’s bowling action but your IQ for sure is lower than entire Pakistan teams performance.BJP Karnataka added, “

Coming to the game, India thrashed Pakistan by 8 wickets. Asked to bowl first, India were off to a flying start. Even before the fans could settle down on their seats, the Men in Green lost both their openers for just 3 runs on the board. A 82-run stand between Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik raised hopes of revival. However, both of them departed in quick succession and Pakistan just could not recover from the setbacks.

They were soon 7 down for 121 and 150 was looking like a distant dream. However, a 37-run stand between Mohammad Amir and Faheem Ashraf helped Pakistan cross the 150-run mark before they were eventually all out for 162. Kedar Jadhav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up three wickets each.

In reply, India chased down the total with utmost ease. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan set the tone fo the chase by adding 86 runs for the first wicket off just 13 overs.

Shadab Khan ended the stand by dismissing Rohit. Prior to that, Rohit slammed 52 off just 39 with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. Dhawan soon departed after scoring 46. Dinesh Karthik and Ambati Rayudu then took India home with utmost ease to inflict a heavy  loss on the arch-rivals.
