Martin Guptill had left millions of Indians heartbroken with his exploits on the cricket field last year. Martin Guptill was the man whose moment of brilliance on field stopped India from winning their third World Cup as he ran out MS Dhoni in the semifinal.

But unlike last year, the New Zealand opener has been bringing smiles on the faces of the Indians thanks to his hilarious cuss words in Hindi. One of the highlights of India’s tour of New Zealand earlier this year was Martin Guptill’s hilarious slang in Hindi for Yuzvendra Chahal.

The incident took place after the second T20I in Auckland. After the match,  the leg-spinner got into his “Chahal TV” avatar and grabbed the mic to interview the players. Usually Yuzvendra Chahal interviews his teammates after the game but on that day, he decided to have a chat with Martin Guptill. Well, it did not take long for the spinner to regret his decision.

The New Zealand opener was busy speaking to India vice-captain and his former Mumbai Indians teammate Rohit Sharma at the time. But the spinner did not bother about it as he interrupted them before the New Zealand star hilariously responded with “Kya be G***u?”

Rohit Sharma was in splits as soon as he heard the comment from Martin Guptill while Yuzvendra Chahal told the batsman that they were live on television with a sheepish smile. Just a day after that hilarious incident, Yuzvendra Chahal had also confronted Martin Guptill after meeting him in the hotel. Chahal hilariously asked the right-handed batsman about the incident while recording it. In reply, an amused Guptill asked: “What are you saying?” to which Chahal answers: “What you told me last night?”

And Martin Guptill was at it again recently as he called the India bowler Gan*u once again. But unlike the last time, the New Zealand star did not say the word publicly but instead messaged the spinner on Instagram. Later, Yuzvendra Chahal himself posted a screenshot of that on his Instagram story.
