It seems like there is no end to the troubles of Prithvi Shaw. After testing positive for Drug usage, which led to his ban, now, once again, Prithvi Shaw is in a bowl of soup for his conduct off-the-field. The right-handed batsman had issues with hotel staff alongside his teammate Eknath Kerkar, which led to the ruckus during their stay in the hotel.

As per the reports on Mid-day.com, the young Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw and Eknath Kerkar involved in an ugly spat with the hotel staff. Following the ruckus, the Test opening batsman has been summoned before the disciplinary committee of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

The issue was also brought to the notice of Mumbai’s team management. The team selection for Mumbai’s next Ranji match against Railways has been put on hold due to a question mark over the availability of Prithvi Shaw and Eknath Kerkar. It is also understood that there are crucial reports against Vinayak Samant. And also, the players of the team have objected the conduct of the coach for quite a few times now. The MCA has already asked all of them to provide a story from their side individually.

Prithvi Shaw made a thrilling comeback to competitive cricket post his eight-month doping ban when he smashed a scintillating double century against Baroda in Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy opener last week. His performance kept him in the selection radar for the upcoming tour to New Zealand.

With Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma cementing a place in the Indian Test team, Prithvi Shaw might tour with the team as the third opener. As he already showed his class with the bat in the domestic tournaments, the young Prithvi Shaw would hope to receive a call-up from the selection committee.
