What began as a banter between two Mitchells ended with one of them getting brutally trolled by the Indian fans.  The banter session turned into a trolling game when former Australian fast-bowler Mitchell Johnson took a subtle dig at veteran Indian pacer Ashish Nehra.

The banter session began when Johnson took to Twitter to troll New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan as he wrote:“@Mitch_Savage ?can’t wait to catch up when we beat you in the upcoming BBL ??”

McClenaghan retaliated by writing:“You going around again old timer? ??.”

In reply, Johnson told McClenaghan, they should have a bowl off to decide the fastest left-arm seamer over 30.

“Hahaha yep & we should have a bowl off to see who’s the fastest left armer over 30 ???,” Johnson wrote.

With the banter game just reaching its climax, Johnson’s compatriot and former Australia batsman Dean Jones crashed the party by revealing his pick for the ‘fastest left armer over 30,.

“Currently Ashish Nehra,” Jones wrote.

However, Johnson was not impressed by Jones’ pick as he tweeted:“His run up is definitely faster.”

It was enough for one of the Indian fans to join conversation.

“His line and length is much better than others,” the fan wrote.

However, Johnson, while making it clear that his tweets were just a part of the banter, did not agree with the fans and tweeted: “Hahaha really with an Ave over 40 & Strike rate close to 80 ?? Just so you know, we are just having some banter ??.”

But it was too late as the fans joined forces to troll the former Australia star. Here are some of the messages.

Meanwhile, Nehra, who was all over the news recently after being recalled into the Indian team, has said that he can play for another couple of years.

“The only one thing that I’m not happy is my body,” Nehra was quoted by ESPNcricinfo. “I can play for another couple of years but it isn’t easy for a fast bowler at 38-39, especially considering the state of my body. But I am just trying my level best.”

“At times when I wake up, especially in the winter in Delhi, my knees are so sore, it is half an hour before I can even leave my bed and am able to walk,” added the 38-year old.
