With the ICC World Cup 2019 around the corner, the analysts and the former cricketers are letting their predictions out on the favourites to win the cup. The latest to join the bandwagon is the former Indian batsman, Mohammad Kaif, who revealed his favourites for the upcoming grand event. He also showered words of praise on Virat Kohli for his captaincy.

Of late, the Indian National Cricket Team is performing exceptionally in all conditions. They have got the best batting lineup, which is equally being backed up by the bowling department. The area for improvement is pretty low, which would certainly put them on top of the chart.

On the other hand, the England and Wales Cricket Board also got a settled squad in the ODI format with all the departments being covered with the eligible players. Meanwhile, Mohammad Kaif also picked both England and India to be favourites for the upcoming world cup.

Further, he went on to add saying that Virat Kohli has been the inspirational leader for the team. He also showered words on praise for backing the players in their poor phase. Kaif believes that Virat Kohli will yield fruitful results in the ICC World Cup 2019.

“Fantastic, I think he has been the leader India wanted, he has been inspiring the players in the squad and the aspiring cricketers. He has been outstanding since he started playing for India. That’s what India wants, someone (Kohli) who will win matches for India. He has backed his players. Now, for the World Cup, our side looks very strong,” said Kaif.

Well, as Mohammad Kaif said, Virat Kohli backed the players in their bad phase. He gave his continuous support to Mahendra Singh Dhoni during his poor form but now, he is yielding fruitful results from him in various ways.
