New Zealand A vs India A, 3rd Unofficial Test, Day 1 – Review; After the completion of two drawn games in the series so far, now, its time for one final unofficial Test between New Zealand A and India A. Meanwhile, both the sides would be eager to bag the series with their performance. However, the day one of the final Test saw both teams sharing the honours.

Openers added 96 for the first wicket:

Initially, it was India A, who won the toss and asked the home side to bowl first. This time, surprisingly, the visitors left out Mayank Agarwal from the XI, as Abhimanyu Easwaran and Ravikumar Samarth opened the innings for India A.

The duo added 96 runs for the first wicket before Doug Bracewell got the better of Samarth. He was quickly followed by Easwaran when Tickener got his outswinger right to get the edge of the stylish batsman.

Both the batsmen would be disappointed, as they got the decent start and the big knock would have been helping them in a great way. Meanwhile, Ankit Bawne and Karun Nair once again disappointed with their poor performance.

Vijay Shankar-Shubman Gill saves the day:

Just when things looked drifting away for India A, the young Shubman Gill and the Tamil Nadu all-rounder, Vijay Shankar put on a show by adding an unbeaten 98-run partnership between them for the 5th wicket.
