Nidahas Trophy 2018: BCB Director Naimur Rahman takes a sly dig at SLC

The Bangladesh cricket team has been attracting a variety of controversy off-late. This time around, it is their Director of Board, Naimur Rahman, who is at the centre stage at the centre stage at the moment.

The Director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board took to Facebook to mock the Sri Lankan Cricket board by uploading a picture which stated that the finals would be played between India and Sri Lanka.

It was only on Friday that the eventual finalists of the Nidahas Trophy were decided. Bangladesh chased down the Sri Lankan total twice in a row dramatically to face off against India the finals on Sunday.

Further, Bangladesh cricket at the moment is surrounded by controversy at the moment. The on-field clash between Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi players created quite a spectacle for the viewers.

In fact, Shakib was found to have breached Article 2.1.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game”.

Meanwhile, Nurul was adjudged guilty of violating Article 2.1.2, which deals with “conduct that brings the game into disrepute”.

Nurul Hasan was seen pointing the finger at Thisara Perera. Shakib was seen gesturing his batsmen to come back, remonstrating the decision of the umpires.

Furthermore, Sri Lankan government launched a probe into the incident involving damage to the dressing room glass panes at Premadasa Stadium by Bangladesh players.

Also, CCTV footage showed some Bangladesh players hurling down the stairs in front of the dressing room door with glass door strewn on the stairs.
