Pat Cummins Is The Most Complete Bowler In International Cricket: Glenn McGrath

Former Australian pace spearhead, Glenn McGrath has named Pat Cummins, as the complete bowler in world cricket at the moment. Cummins has had a memorable last year so far. He won the ICC Test Player of the Year award for his performance with the Kangaroos against New Zealand, Pakistan, and in the Ashes.

Pat Cummins clinched 59 Test wickets in 2019. Cummins’ 2019 ended on a high as he was selected as the most expensive player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Cummins bagged a staggering INR 15.5 Crores price by the two-time winner of the most prestigious league-based tournament.

Pat Cummins Is The Complete Bowler: Glenn McGrath

McGrath answered 25 rapid-fire questions from ESPN Cricinfo on a range of subjects. One of the best fast bowlers through the 90s till late 2000s, McGrath said that Cummins is the most complete bowler in international cricket at the moment.

Asked about most complete bowler in world cricket now, McGrath replied, “Pat Cummins. I like the way he goes by.”

Cummins has been one of the most influential bowlers for the Kangaroos in recent times. In 30 Tests for Australia, he has clinched 143 wickets. He has played 61 ODIs for the Kangaroos and has snared 98 wickets. Cummins has bagged 32 wickets in the 25 T20Is that he has played for Australia.

Pat Cummins Aspires To Be An Australian Test Captain

Pat Cummins stated that he felt good when the current Test skipper, Tim Paine, bid his name for future Test captaincy of the Australian team. Discussions about who should lead Australia whenever the 35-year-old Paine retires are going on at the moment.

Former captain, Steve Smith’s leadership ban, has also expired. Smith received a two-year captaincy ban by Cricket Australia (CA) for his involvement in the infamous ball-tampering scandal in South Africa in the year 2018.
