India thrashed out Pakistan by nine wickets win where Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 111* runs and also past his 7000 run mark in ODIs.

However, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed opt to bat first after winning the toss earlier in the day. The Indian bowlers did exceptionally well to restrict the Men in Green to 237 runs at the end of 50th over. Bumrah, Chahal, and Kuldeep each managed to pick up two wickets.

The veteran, Shoaib Malik played an excellent knock of 78 runs. Moreover, Sarfraz and Malik partnered well to post 200+ score for the team. While chasing down the target, Indian opening pair Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan played a brilliant knock of 210 runs for their team.

Moreover, Pakistan only managed to take a wicket in the 34th over. Dhawan and Rohit both scored a brilliant century for India and Rohit past his 7000 runs landmark. The duo notched up their 13th ODI century run stand to go past Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, who have registered 12 stands in the three-figure mark.

Rohit Sharma is at his best in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018. He is representing his team in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli. Sharma, however, took the responsibility in a great manner. India won all their four matches and they defeated the arch-rivals Pakistan for two times.

Rohit Sharma scored two half-centuries and a hundred in the Asia Cup. He overall scored 269 runs from four matches that he has played. Rohit took 187 matches to score 7000+ runs whereas Virat Kohli took 167 matches to do the same. However, Rohit Sharma also played 19 innings at number 6-7 position. He is a class player and will try to continue his form in the future.

“Rohit has taken 20 more innings than Kohli to reach the 7000 run mark in ODI. He’s also played 19 innings at number 6-7. What an incredible white ball player. Runaway match winner. #RoSuperhitSharma”
