It is a hard job to get a sneak peek into the Indian selector’s mind. Karun Nair didn’t play any match on the England tour. Still, he was dropped for the two-match Test series against Windies. A couple of questions to MSK Prasad-led panel, Are you kidding us? On what grounds was Karun Nair dropped?

The Karnataka batsman didn’t play any matches on England tour. He had only warmed the benches. So, on what basis was he shown the exit doors from the Indian team.

In fact, Nair was expected to be in the playing XI for the fifth and final Test match against England as he was with the team from the beginning. However, Hanuma Vihari who was added to the squad for the last two Test matches got a nod ahead of Nair.

Nevertheless, if team management made a mistake by overlooking Nair for the final Test match, the selection committee made a blunder by dropping him for the Windies series.

So, there must be something that Karun Nair could be doing wrong. The things that his fellow teammates are doing right to get the countless chances, without much performance. If we take out Virat Kohli from India’s Test batting line-up, it is much like taking out the head of the snake’s body.

Therefore, here are the five things that Karun Nair should do to make his place in the squad.

Keep changing his Hairstyle.

India players are the new role model of fashion. It seems that changing hairstyle for some players for every series is one of the ways to get their respective places secure. Hardik Pandya went on play seven Test matches out of the eight on the foreign soil. If we take out his 93 in the first Test match against South Africa and his five wicket-haul at Trent Bridge, there was nothing much on the show except his fancy hairstyle that changes like the wind.

So, Karun Nair, you must contact your hairdresser as soon as possible.

Get a tattoo.

One more way for Karun Nair to give his selection envelope a push would be to get a tattoo pierced on his arms. If we take a look at Shikhar Dhawan performance on the England tour, it is hard to understand why he played as many as four Test matches. The southpaw batsman scored 162 runs in the eight innings at an average of 20.25. Furthermore, he didn’t go past the fifty run-mark even once.

Therefore, Karun Nair must take a look at some of the new styles of tattoos.

More Cordial Relation with Virat Kohli.

It is well known that Virat Kohli hasn’t been the most guile with his selection. Thus, Nair should try to build a nice friendship with the Indian captain. We have seen that some players get the backing of the captain despite coming out with mundane performances.

Hence, Karun Nair must try to grab some time off the field with Virat Kohli.

Not make the mistake of scoring a 300 again.

Karun Nair is the second Indian batsman to score a 300. Yes, you heard it right, only the second one. However, he only got a couple of chances for India after scoring a gargantuan score. However, he could not come up with good performances against Australia in 2017.

Nevertheless, Nair hasn’t received the number of chances as he should have, after scoring a triple hundred. Consequently, Nair should remember not to make such a big score again. It is too heavy for the team management to digest it a big score. Subsequently, how will they give chances to their blue-eyed boys?

Give Bribe to the Selectors.

MSK Prasad dropped Karun Nair for his poor performance on the England tour. Yes, poor performance was judged for just sitting on the benches. So, Nair was dropped as he could not time many balls in the net sessions.

Therefore, it might not be a bad idea for Nair to send a bag to the selection committee.
