BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has had an excellent cricketing career so far. He has been among one of the best international cricketers of all time. He is widely regarded as one of the best left handed batsmen to ever grace the game of cricket. The legendary batsman will be always remembered for pulling India out of the match-fixing scandal and making the team a world-class outfit.

Sourav Ganguly is now serving Indian cricket as the chief of BCCI. He took charge of the richest cricket body in the world in October and has been very pro-active as the BCCI boss. Within days of taking over, he convinced Team India to play their first-ever day-night Test. He also announced contract for first-class cricketers as well as revealed that BCCI is in discussion with its England and Australia counterpart to start a 4-nation super series.

Sourav Ganguly reveals the tougher career:

Sourav Ganguly was recently asked to pick the tougher job between a cricketer and an administrator. In reply, he made it clear that playing cricket was obviously the tougher career than administrating. He had no hesitation to responding to the question.

“It was tougher playing under pressure, because it was one chance while batting, that was lot difficult. Here (as BCCI President) if I make a mistake, I come back next and get it rectified, there if you nicked (Glenn) McGrath outside the off stump…” Sourav Ganguly told PTI.

Sourav Ganguly is not the only administrator to have admitted that. Apart from him, former Indian Captain, Sunil Gavaskar has also said that playing on the ground was tougher than administrating the game.

“Yes, I did (hold the office of BCCI president) for a couple of months in 2014, when the Supreme Court appointed me president of the BCCI, IPL, I did it. It was easy,” Gavaskar said.
