The poor show from Yuvraj Singh continues for Punjab in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019. His poor form also saw Punjab faring pretty poorly in the tournament, as they lost both games so far. The stylish southpaw registered 6 and 7 runs in the games against Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai respectively.

Firstly, it was against Madhya Pradesh when Punjab required him to stay in the middle,  as they lost 2 wickets for 17 runs on the board. But, he was cleaned up by Venkatesh Iyer to walk back with 6 runs to his name.

Yuvraj Singh scored 13 runs in 2 games:

In the latest game against Mumbai, Prabhsimran Singh gave a stunning start to the team in the chase of 156 runs on the board. He scored a blistering 54-run knock off just 20 balls to give a perfect platform for the middle-order to seal the game.

But, yet again, Yuvraj Singh failed to make the most of the opportunity in guiding the team to success. After scoring six of the second ball, he played 7 dot balls consecutively to be dismissed on his 11th delivery with 7 runs to his name.

It certainly made a massive impact on the game for Punjab, as there were no other batsmen was in the support of Gurkeerat Singh Mann, who tried his bit to reach the total. All in all, it was a poor effort from the batting section.

Earlier in the match, Sandeep Sharma and Gony sent Mumbai openers for cheap scores on the board. However, Shreyas Iyer and Surya Kumar Yadav batted brilliantly to settle the ship. Despite the decent partnership between the dup, Punjab bowlers pulled back things dramatically to restrict Mumbai to 155.

In reply, Prabhsimran Singh smashed Mumbai bowlers all over the park. In 20 balls, he smashed 54 to help Punjab get a sold start. However, the other batsmen failed to stand up in the task, which dented them dearly.
